Vanilla Cake-Pops

I love those cute little cake pops. They are perfect for a party or any occasion you need a single serving size. They are so cute. Easy to make and taste wonderful. What else can you ask from a cake pop?

The recipe is pretty easy and they turned out great the first time I made them. Just be carefull when you heat up the chocolate. Keep stirring and heat the chocolate in a double boiler or on low heat. It might take some time but it is definitely worth it.

 

Ingredients:

  • 70g of butter
  • 60g of sugar
  • 1/2 Vanilla bean
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tbsp baking Soda
  • 30g cream cheese
  • 35g of powdered sugar
  • 200g of chocolate (for coating)

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F /160°C. Take a small cake pan and grease the inside so the cake doesn`t stick to it.
  2. Beat the butter with the sugar and vanilla until creamy. Mix in the egg. In another bowl mix the flour with the baking Soda. Stir in the flour gradually. Fill into the cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. After the cake is completely cooled cut of the harder parts on the outside (if there is any ).
  3. Mix the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and crumble in the cake.  Mix everything well and form 12 little balls. Place them into the fridge for about an hour. Than put a stick through each one. Melt the chocolate (it doesn`t matter if you use white or dark chocolate) and cover the cake pops with chocolate. Sprinkle some sprinkles on top and let them harden in the fridge for a couple minutes.
